EARLY LIFE AND FASCINATION FOR SCIENCE
Karl Hans Welz, originally from Telfs/Tirol, a small town near Innsbruck, Austria, developed a fascination for science and the stars at a very early age. He eagerly read any book on astronomy, astrophysics, mathematics, and physics that he could get hold of.
INTEREST IN HYPNOSIS AND YOGA
At age 16, he became interested in the subject of hypnosis. He began studying this discipline, later he perfected Autogenic Training and eventually, age 18, he began the practice of Hatha Yoga. This practice strengthened his then frail body within a few weeks and his overall condition and health improved considerably.
EXPLORATION OF LIFE ENERGY
These practices led Karl to explore other sciences that were not part of his academic curriculum. He studied and practiced astrology, practical magic, rune magic, and various forms of life energy technology such as astral traveling and clairvoyance. He studied the works of Mesmer, Korschelt, von Reichenbach, Tesla, Lahkowski, and others.

KARL WELZ ACADEMIC PURSUITS AND TRAVELS
At age 19, Karl began his graduate studies in mathematics and physics. He interrupted his academic studies several times to travel extensively. During the course of these travels, he gained valuable information about magical practices and the use of life force in many cultures and traditions. He came in contact with many gifted teachers and adepts on the subject-matter.
During his stays in South Africa, Switzerland, West Berlin, and the United States, he continued his studies. He rounded them off with general semantics, radionics, Reichian psychology, and orgone physics.
INVENTION OF ORGONITE AND THE ORGONE GENERATOR
After arriving in the USA, Karl built his first orgone accumulators and conducted multiple experiments, primarily on plant life. He realized that what Wilhelm Reich called orgone was the same form of energy that he had been exploring for over a decade before knowing anything of Reich. In 1991, Karl built the first device that actually generates orgone energy, inventing the orgone generator. He also invented the modern commercial Orgonites, a mixture of resin, powdered metal, and powdered quartz, which generates positive bio-energy.
LEGACY AND IMPACT
Nowadays, a multitude of commercial orgonites are available with a lot of qualified manufacturers inspired by his pioneering work.
Welz’s direct descendants now carry on the legacy of manufacturing per his proprietary methods. His work continues to inspire and influence those interested in the study and application of life force energy.
